How to install PdfCraft on Windows

Download the x64 installer (.msi). Snapdragon and other ARM laptops need ARM64; old 32-bit Windows needs x86.

Double-click the .msi. It installs for all users, so Windows asks for administrator permission. The installer is code-signed.

Start PdfCraft from the Start menu, or right-click any PDF in File Explorer and choose “Edit with PdfCraft”.

No admin rights? Use the portable .zip. It runs from any folder, even a USB stick, and keeps its settings next to pdfcraft.exe.

PdfCraft is alpha software. Keep a backup of important documents, even though every save is incremental and never rewrites your original bytes.

PdfCraft 0.8.0 was released by the ArtCraft team on 2026-10-14. The files below are hosted on the official PdfCraft GitHub release; PDFCraftTool.org only links to them, so what you install is exactly what ArtCraft published. Windows installers and executables are code-signed, and the Mac app is signed and notarized by Apple.

Not sure which file to choose? Most Windows PCs need the x64 installer, every Mac uses the universal .dmg, and on Linux the AppImage runs on almost any distribution. If you only want to try PdfCraft before installing, use the online version instead.

Needs Rust 1.90 or newer.

System requirements

Windows (x64, ARM64 or 32-bit), macOS on Apple silicon or Intel, or FreeBSD.
Linux with glibc 2.35 or newer: Ubuntu 22.04+, Debian 12+, Fedora 36+.
For PdfCraft Online: a browser with WebGPU or WebGL2, such as current Chrome, Edge, Firefox or Safari.
